How did we get here?

The core of every transformation programme is people.

It is almost always the single largest cost and the greatest source of risk.

Yet, too often, organisations take an unstructured, reactive approach to sourcing and managing transformation resource, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and uncertainty in delivery.

Reducing this risk isn’t optional, it’s fundamental to successful transformation.

Matter Partners was created to solve this problem. As a dedicated Delivery Partner, we bridge the gap between consulting and recruitment.

The result is a more structured, reliable, and effective way to access and support the expertise required to deliver complex transformation programmes with confidence.

Why Matter?

At Matter Partners, we bring structure and discipline to every associate consultant engagement, ensuring our customers receive real value and our consultants are set up to deliver.

Statement of Work creation

Each engagement begins with a clearly defined Statement of Work (SOW). Developed by Matter, the SOW combines the customer’s required outcomes with input from the selected consultant to create a practical, deliverable‑led agreement. It establishes clear deliverables and outputs, providing a firm foundation for the engagement from day one.

Fortnightly one-to-one reviews

Once delivery is underway, Matter remains actively involved.

We hold fortnightly one‑to‑one reviews with each consultant, focusing on progress against the SOW and structured RAID management to limit risks before they become delivery problems. This ensures challenges are identified early and addressed decisively.

Feedback loop

Insights from these sessions are then shared with the customer through fortnightly cadence calls, providing transparent updates on progress, emerging risks, and any actions required.

This feedback loop allows issues to be dealt with proactively, keeps delivery aligned to outcomes, and fosters an environment for the consultant to deliver their best work.

The result is a controlled, outcome‑focused engagement model that protects value for money, supports consultant effectiveness, and gives clients confidence that delivery is being actively managed throughout.

The word 'BRIT' in purple with a blue underline below the text.

“Matter Partners have provided valued support to the Brit Insurance, IFRS17 programme. The SME consultants they provided were able to engage effectively and deliver against complex issues, bridging priority capability needs.

The Matter Partners consultant engagement model meant there was effective ongoing commitment of the Managing Partners to the consultant's work being delivered, adding valuable assurance, through an additional feedback / quality monitoring loop, to the engagement.

I would happily use their On-demand model again as part of balanced programme resource support model.”
